A lovely antique needlepoint bell pull, acquired from France. Backed in a sumptuous purple velvet. These were often seen as a sign of wealth. It does not have any of its original hardware, and the listing is for the fabric pull, as shown. The back velvet has a mark and I'm guessing it is some glue residue. When I acquired this piece, it had a strong musty smell, I hand washed it gently and left to dry naturally. Currently it has one small area which is still faintly musty, it is very faint and I'm only pointing this out for accuracy sake, as each day the smell has evaporated , so I'm certain with more airing it will completely dissipate. I really can't notice it now, but if it doesn't go and you are very aware of it - which I don't believe is true for either - then please simply return it in it's original packaging.
